Dangers of Household Radiation
(updated) - Dr. Debra Greene
Dr. Greene shows the health hazards and
dangers of common household electronics such as light bulbs, cordless and cell phones,
microwaves, and baby monitors. She offers eye opening and important information as well as
simple solutions. This version of Part 1 contains an update about compact florescent light
bulbs. The EPA recommended cleanup if you accidentally break a CFL is too complex and
extensive to include in the video (but you don't have to call the fire department). Be
sure to watch Part 2 for MORE demonstrations and FREE solutions on wireless computers and
how radiation travels through your walls.

Dr. George Carlo EMF Cell Phone
Dr. Carlo talks about the cell phone
industry's marketing towards children and the epidemic projections from cell phone
use.George Carlo and Martin Schram are aiming to become information-age Ralph Naders. They
ask a question that ought to concern America's 103 million mobile phone users, as well as
those who merely come within earshot of these popular devices: Is the wireless future a
threat to public health? "Visit any public building, college classroom, courthouse,
or commuter train, and look around: You'll see people using not just wireless phones but
also wireless laptop computers and miniature palm tops," write Carlo and Schram.
"What you won't see are the microwaves that are criss-crossing a confined space where
a number of people who are not even using these instruments are bombarded by these
waves." It sounds creepy. And Carlo, an epidemiologist who once oversaw a
multimillion-dollar research project on health for the cellular industry, believes the
news is not good: there may be a link between cell phone use and brain tumors. The
research is not conclusive, but Carlo and Schram think it's disturbing enough to warrant
government action. Needless to say, the industry that once backed Carlo's work now
considers him persona non grata.
Due largely to Carlo's coauthorship, Cell
Phones is unavoidably a one-sided story. Key business figures didn't agree to interviews.
In fact, this might have been a better book if it were written by Schram, with Carlo as
one of several major characters rather than a collaborator. Then again, it would lack the
passionate advocacy that will draw many readers to it. And even the most skeptical may
want to take a few of the simple safety precautions the authors recommend in a concluding
chapter, such as wearing a headset or earpiece when using a cell phone, in order to keep a
distance from the radiation-emitting antennae. One look at the x-ray photos reproduced in
the book, which show how radiation easily penetrates skulls, will give even the most
impervious observer second thoughts. One thing is probably certain: This book is a
harbinger of litigation. If Carlo and Schram are correct about their concerns, the
cellular industry--as unbelievable as it sounds--may go the way of Big Tobacco. --John J.

USA - Full signal The trailer
Talal Jabari, a Palestinian-American who
has worked as a journalist, producer and creator of audio effects, has recently made his
début as director with the film Full Signal, which won the prize for best documentary at
the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival in December 2009.
As the number of people using mobile phones
continues to grow, more and more base stations are being installed to meet the demand.
Faced with the mounting conflict over the damaging health effects of artificial
electromagnetic fields from HF microwave radiation, and the drop in property values where
phone masts have been set up, the phone networks have found an emergency solution by
disguising relay antennas in real or artificial trees, fake chimneys, etc. But however
they try to hide it, this is the most serious worldwide health scandal in the beginning of
the 21st century.
Full Signal gives the chance to speak out
to scientific experts working on the health problems arising from mobile phone and phone
mast radiation, also to campaigners battling against the presence of relay antennas in
residential areas, to the electrosensitive (EHS), to government health authorities and to
lawyers, who are obtaining more and more favourable verdicts in cases brought against the
Through interviews with a widely
representative range of people, this documentary highlights a growing awareness in the
international community, who are finally beginning to pay attention to the problems
arising from the proliferation of relay antennas, and becoming concerned about the now
proven health hazards arising from this new form of serious environmental pollution.

WIFI routers and access points emit
Electromagnetic radiation all the time, even when there is no computer or laptop connected
to them. The only way to stop the emission is to turn the WIFI feature of on the router.
In some routers there is a possibility to do that using the router HTML GUI or a button on
the back of it. It is not recommended to use WIFI for long time, or to leave it working
when there are people around.

My group investigates health effects of
modern, man-made electromagnetic fields as well as the functional impairment
electrohypersensitivity. I introduced the clinical term "screen dermatitis" to
explain the cutaneous damages that developed in the late 1970's when office workers, first
mostly women, began to be placed in front of computer monitors. I called for action along
lines of occupational medicine, biophysics and biochemistry, as well as neuroscience and
experimental dermatology. The working hypothesis early became that persons with the
impairment electrohypersensitivity react in a cellularly correct way to the
electromagnetic radiation, maybe in concert with chemical emissions such as plastic
components, flame retardants, etc., in a highly specific way and with a completely correct
avoidance reaction -- just as you would do if you had been exposed to e.g. sun rays,
X-rays, radioactivity or chemical odours. Nowadays, electrohypersensitivity (EHS) is in
Sweden an officially fully recognized functional impairment (i.e., it is not regarded as a
disease). Survey studies show that somewhere between 230,000-290,000 Swedish men and women
-- out of a population of 9,000,000 -- report a variety of symtoms when being in contact
with electromagnetic field sources. To this, one should also add all the current issues
regarding the bigger picture: the health effects of electromagnetic fields on the general
population. I and my collaborators have, in addition, worked in great depth in areas such
as skin diseases, cancer, child delivery, female urine incontinence, oral mucosa diseases,
brain and spinal cord morphology, synaptology and chemical transmission, peripheral
nervous system-related issues, cardiac function, skeletal muscle function and disease, and
connective tissue ripening phenomena.

Sweden - Nerve cell damage in
mammalian brain after exposure to microwaves from GSM mobile phones
The possible risks of radio-frequent
electromagnetic fields for the human body, is a growing concern for the society. We have
earlier shown that weak pulsed microwaves give rise to a significant leakage of albumin
through the blood-brain barrier (BBB). Now we have investigated whether a pathological
leakage over the BBB might be combined with damage to the neurons. Three groups of each 8
rats were exposed for 2 hours to GSM mobile phone electromagnetic fields of different
strengths. We found, and present here for the first time, highly significant (p<0.002)
evidence for neuronal damage in both the cortex, the hippocampus and the basal ganglia in
the brains of exposed rats.
We present here for the first time evidence
for neuronal damage caused by nonthermal microwave exposure. The cortex as well as the
hippocampus and the basal ganglia in the brains of exposed rats contain damaged neurons.
We realise that our study comprises few animals, but the combined results are highly
significant and exhibit a clear dose-response relation. The observed dark neurons are
deemed not to be artefacts for the following reasons. The brains were perfusion fixed in
situ and removed atraumatically. The dark neurons were intermingled with normal appearing
neurons (see fig 2a,b). Further, the presence of vacuoles in several of the dark neurons
is a clear sign that damage occurred in the living animal.
We cannot exclude that the neuronal change
described may represent apoptotic cell death. The neuronal albumin uptake and other
changes described would seem to indicate a serious neuronal damage, which may be mediated
through organelle damage with release of not only hydrolytic lysosomal enzymes but also
e.g. sequestered harmful material, such as heavy metals, stored away in cytoplasmatic
organelles (lysosomes). The time between last exposure and sacrifice is of great
importance for the detection of foci of leakage since extravasated albumin rapidly
diffuses down to, and beyond, concentrations possible to demonstrate accurately
immunohistologically. However, the initial albumin leakage into the brain tissue (seen
within hours in about 40% of exposed animals in our previous studies) may start a
secondary BBB opening, leading to a vicious circle as we demonstrate albumin
leakage even 8 weeks after the exposure.
The reason for our choice of 12 to 26 weeks
old rats is that they are comparable to human mobile phone addicted teen-agers with
respect to age. The situation of the growing brain might deserve special concern from the
society since biological and maturational processes are particularly vulnerable. The
intense use of mobile phones by youngsters is a serious memento. A neuronal damage of the
kind, here described, may not have immediately demonstrable consequences, even if
repeated. It may, however, in the long run, result in reduced brain reserve capacity that
might be unveiled by other later neuronal disease or even the wear and tear of ageing. We
can not exclude that after some decades of (often), daily use, a whole generation of
users, may suffer negative effects maybe already in their middle age.

residents demand action on electromagnetic threat
A lawmaker of the opposition
Democratic Progressive Party and environmental protection groups have demanded the
reduction of electromagnetic radiation at a community to the same low level as sought by
the Executive Yuan (Cabinet) to safeguard people's health.
It said that two minutes of exposure to
emissions from mobile phones can disable a safety barrier in blood, causing proteins and
toxins to leak into the brain and as such could increase chances of developing Alzheimer's
multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's.
The spermatozoa were exposed
to electromagnetic radiation for about three of four hours they didnt die but
there was a notable reduction in their motility, which is indispensable for fertilizing
the female ovum.
Meanwhile, continues Dr. Avendano, there was a significant increase in
sperm that showed evidence of damage in their DNA molecules. Sperm DNA fragmentation has
been shown to decrease the chance of natural conception.
